Nice job on the PB. Will they eat the plastic?

Very seldom on the plastic, however a shrimp or crab fly worked slowly will take them.

Bummer, I can't fly fish and can't afford to learn. One more hobby is the last thing I need.

Rethink that thought. Light spinning outfit, light weight, shrimp or crab fly. Not fly fishing but fishing the fly!!!!! Same results. That's the difference netween a wisherman and a fisherman

Thanks Bob, I didn't realize flies would be heavy enough for spinning tackle. Another fish added to the bucket list

Ed, I've caught a lot of bones on 3 inch grubs and swimbaits. They eat the plastic pretty good. Shrimp colored grubs and keylime hybrids work great.

I've caught 2 bones over the years on plastics. Others have better success. Ghost shrimp are the candy bait in the south bay but I have caught plenty of bone fish, including the one above, on pieces of raw head on shrimp from Seafood City. I imagine bone fish would eat about any worm or crustacean on the bottom. Mike
