First legal Sandy

Well went out on Sunday on SD Bay. Made my way out to the bait barge and dropped a frozen sardine down. Got hit right away, pulled this guy up. I was stoked for my first legit bass. After the CNR of the sandy things got slow and then I got called into work at 0800. Hope to head out next weekend and have it be an all day event.

Nice fish. The sandies there are pretty nice. I caught legit 21 inched in about that same spot. They hang around there often. The bigger ones play at night till the early morn!

Yup went out yesterday...plan to head out next weekend too. I need to work on my jigging skills and find the right Halibut grounds.
