Tidelands July 15th

Started fishing around 11:45. And man it started off slow. Couldn't get anything fishing 3 inch 1/4 oz baits and 5 in 3/4 oz. no bites and no current!! We couldn't get any current to save our lives! Later in the day we finally got some current! Started a slow pick around the pillings then we got a real nice drift and I caught a baby halibut and a few more spotties. We decided to try our luck at the same drifting spot and on that drift I got my 1st croaker which we kept and turned out to be very good eats! Fun day great weather and warm water.

Thankms for the report. Been thinking I need to gvet back to sd bay. If you can check the tide charts to plan your fishing. No tide flow usually equals no fish. Or just fish when you can. We're in the neap tides right now so things will be better as the waxes. Mike
