Kayakfishing @ La Jolla or ?? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Hi all

I am from Northern California and will stay San Clemente State Park starting this Sunday for 7 days with family. I want to bring my kayak and go out fishing on one of those days. Probably on July 2 or 3.

From what I read, looks like La Jolla is the best choice for yellowtail. If not, let me know. I know Dana Point is much closer but yellowtail and halibut are on my mind. I hope someone can help and guide me out there. What's more, I need a buddy system or my wife wouldn't let me go out.

I am more than happy to buy you a 6-pack of beers or whatever.
