DP harbor 2013-06-23

Launched from baby beach around 11 was heading to get bait when some lady just like flopped out of her kayak, I paddled over picked up her water bottle and flip flops that were floating away. I then leaned on one side of her yak so she could get back in and her friends were crying they were laughing so hard. Continued on was almost to the bait barge then some guy asked me if I wanted bait and he gave me all the leftover chovies he had (score) it was alot 3 scoops worth. Ran into some fellow bwe members. Ended the day with a stingray, 3 calico bass, a sand dab, and ended the day with a double halibut hookup.....................................both were short 21" and 17". Great day on the water now time for some sleep.

There is definitely a legal hali in your future, you keep putting in your time on the water like you have!!

we're all waiting to see an epic huge report of a big hali and a bigger smile on that face. if you can hook barely shorts... you'll do fine with a legal. just remember..

GAFF IT!!! putt it clear out of the water, but dont lay it down on your lap yet.
GAME CLIP IT (while still gaffed)
BEAT IT SILLY (while still gaffed)
then you can release the gaff.

Sounds like a good day. Your killing me with the lack of halibut though. Its gonna happen on the next trip, I can feel it.
