Thanks for the assist private boat guy

You unintentionally helped me land my first yellowtail of the season

Out late last week and caught this guy on the fly line. Headed towards some birds and had a private boater come up right behind me towards some birds. He was basically driving right over my trolled greenback. My first thought as I was reeling in my fish was what a freakin douch bag. As they passed around 15 -20 yards off the back of my yak I checked my greenback and it looked lively and I immediately sent it back and within 20 yards as it was heading back in free spool the line went zipping out. My second thought was fish on My third thought was thank you Mr Douch bag, you now have a front row seat on how to get it done on a yak

Nice looking YT. I saw a guy get his fly lines ran over today. The boat spooled one of his reels. Luckily the leader broke and he was able to recover his braid. Boat on boat crimes!
