10 bucks and if you tip them about 5 bucks, they are pretty grateful and their lips tend to loosen up and they share what others have been telling them about where the fish are.

$10 for kayak scoop in Oside.
6/1 Oside. Anchovies were good at about 5". Sardines really nice at about 7". The tip goes a long way. I had a younger caucasian guy named Tim and with a $2 tip (measley on my part - no other cash on had) he gave me a nice scoop of chovies, mixed in a few dines for free, then shared some wisdom. I heard that same day, 6/1, the hispanic guy did not hook up and gyped, but not sure of the details. |

Yea that was me got 15 dines and even with a 3$ tip he was in a rush they were fixing the nets, but yes I was a little upset.

The guys at each of the barges are a little different. I always give them $15. The guys at Mission Bay have always stated I could come get a couple more if needed for no charge. The guys in SD Bay have said the same, however I have encountered some that wouldn't give you the time of day even after tipping them.
