Islander 5-19-13

Well it was kind of slow as far as the island goes, but crew great as usual and considering it was kicked a day due to wind it was a pretty nice day
New cook Brian had it going on and my only complaint was there was to much food.
No halis, WSB or YT caught but a Spearo got a really fat WSB in 4 feet of water-he saw a school swim by-so they are out there-
We stayed on the East side all day and calicos played for most as well as an 80+ thresher shark for some guy on a flylined greenback---

Gormet Brian!, I thought he was kidding when he started rattling off the menu... as usual, the Islander crew and Shane took care of business with the upmost proffessionalism, hope the 2.5 is better for you all...can't wait till the next one...

That was an awesome Thresher you caught, Dave! Great report! It was indeed a slow day fishing, but the weather was beautiful. Can't beat being on the water. Water was clear and glassy, maybe too stagnant though. Big calicos were present, just not biting. Hope this weekend's trip is off da Hook!

Had a great time!

Instead of making another thread I will just add my video here. Hope OP doesn't mind. My intended target wasn't biting but calicos kept me entertained throughout the day. Thank you to all the Islander crews! It was nice meeting you all. Sorry the video is long and my first try on go pro so little abrupt at times.
