PA 14 - transducer question.

I recently bought the new PA 14 and was ready to install the ducer in the ready made fitting underneath the hull. But only to find out that my HDI ducer was too big to fit the seating. I have the 7 HDI series 50/200.
Any pointers or experience in making this fit? Is the 80/200 smaller transducer? Thanks in advance..

Hi Honcho,

Lowrance is working on modifying the 50/200 kHz HDI transducer to fit the Lowrance Ready cavity. The 83/200 kHz HDI transducer is smaller and will fit in the Lowrance Ready cavity. I would recommend contacting Lowrance and letting them know about your issue so you can get the modified version that will fit when it is ready and available. I just bought 2 Lowrance Elite 7 HDI's with the 50/200 kHz transducers and had the same problem. I modified my transducers myself to fit in to the Lowrance Ready cavity but you may want to wait since they are aware of this issue and are working on a solution.

Thanks, great info, I'll call them first thing in the morning.
