lj 4/28 and other days.

launched at 5am to some dumpy waves and got soaked while timing the sets. not much of a break but made it out fine. easly made bait and decided to zig zag from the kelp to about 120 ft. all the way around the corner. I saw a disturbance on the water and threw the surface iron in front of it. bam its on I knew right away this was not the yt I was after. thinking thresher nope it's a mako and he has my prize iron! it dident fight as hard as I expected, probably cause it was hooked in the belly. after about a half hour it was wore out enough to get my jig. had a little help from a guy in a skiff, thanks to him the shark got to swim away and i got to keep my fingers and jig. the shark was over 4ft.

kept at it till 2pm for nada. fished 3 other days through out the week with no fish. been putting 12-15 miles per trip. also went to vail on tuesday with the wife and dogs. scored some nice lmb's in the 3lb range. PA's kick ass had both dogs 85 and 50 lbs plus gear and still super stable.

Don't go calling in sick to go fish lj its slooow!!!
