Gopro hero3 silver with travel bag $199 amazon
did a quick check on the BWE onlinestore and didn't see any gopro for sale so i hope i don't step on anybody's toes. Just thought it was a great deal. I picked mine up at $240 from REI with my 20% coupon. So at $200 bucks it's a no brainer |

No mounts or housing, not a great deal. $199 + tax = $215
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GoPro-HERO3-...epn=5335869999 this one has everything for $233 shipped. I just picked up a black edition or i'd jump on this one. Last edited by Raskal311; 04-23-2013 at 07:35 AM. |

I heard the black Hero3 has sucky battery life? I wondered about the wifi remote? I'd like to mount it up front on a dogbone arm, and just turn it on occasionally when my son is catching a fish.
thanks for the info guys.. |

The bad battery is due to the wifi so I avoid using it. But its pretty nice being able to control and view it on my iphone via wifi.

That's what I figured.. I'm actually thinking of getting the Hero2, plus the wifi bacpac, which has it's own battery. Even new on Amazon for both, it will be over $100 less than the Hero3 Black.

I acutally traded mine for some surplus ammo I no longer needed. I maybe able to get one for $350 OTD if you are interrested. |

Hero2: $242.95
http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-HD-HERO2...keywords=hero2 WiFi BacPac: $29.99 http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-3661-037...ds=wifi+bacpac Edit.. rats.. you're right Kevin .. no remote. I guess I could use my iphone, but that'd be a pain in the a$s on the kayak. Wifi BacPac + Remote: $135.99 http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-Wi-Fi-Ba...ds=wifi+bacpac hmm... but it should still last longer than the Hero3 Black right? since it has it's own battery in the BacPac? I don't know... Last edited by FishNinjaY; 04-23-2013 at 01:16 PM. Reason: aww cwap.. error. |

I actually have extra wasabi batteries I can just pop in and out. The prob is that I stupidly mounted a RAM 1.5" ball (rocket tube) too far forward on my Oasis tandem. My son can't reach it easily. So, I think I'll put a rear-facing angled gopro there to catch both of us, but I need a remote since neither of us can reach it easily to turn it on and off.
BTW, I sent you a PM. |

So that was an adventure.
Cypress Costco.. SOLD-OUT. Red vest dudes says been gone at least a week. I drove to Garden Grove, and saw the display of merchandise pickup cards, but at register, they said SOLD-OUT. Rats! This time I was smart and stopped at Merchandise desk. They checked computer. Sold out everywhere: Fullerton, Signal Hill, Fountain Valley, Downey, Lakewood. Only few in-stock at Huntington Beach! I was already halfway, there so I hustled over to Costco off the 405. (Bella Terra) Got one! Cool! BUT.. this bundle does NOT have the tiny wifi remote. U need to control it with your iPhone app, or buy the remote separately. (about $70 on amazon). I'll see how I like the iPhone remote and return it if I don't like it. Also, this is the Hero2, not hero3 silver. Huntington Beach has only FOUR of these wifi Hero2 bundles in stock right now. Unknown restock date. They reordered and thought they would get more last week. None even in local warehouse. Thanks RedSledTeam, and BWE! Last edited by FishNinjaY; 04-23-2013 at 10:53 PM. Reason: double pics deleted |
