Hobie's rear hatch
This is a good idea. Hobie has a few more new accessories being released, I have em all on order, I'll post up what arrives this week.

That's what I did. Small gear box. Cut out the middle divider and my battery lays flat.

I don't use it for anything. Too far away to keep my battery in it.

I assume I'm going to use it for nothing. Maybe emergency stuff?
I run a long wire, and keep my battery (batteries) up in the forward-most hatch of my tandem Oasis. I figure I will always be in the rear, so I need all the ballast I can get as far forward as possible, especially when I'm solo. The rear hatch always is blocked anyways, like by my fairly heavy livewell. |

Battery,snacks and a change of clothes in a dry bag just in case.
I hope its a newly designed universal hatch like the the square one last year.
