Portable FF set up

I use 3 kayaks I didn't want to permanently rig my FF to any one of them. They are very different sized yaks so I needed some thing fairly ajustable. After brain storming, drawing pictures, and measuring the yaks I came up with this design. (befor I saw Andy's bendable arm model) I used the push button hieght ajustment part of a crutch to compensate for the difference in kayak widths. The verticle hieght can be adjusted as well. The whole arm can be removed from the battery box to make it easer and smaller to store or transport. And its all aluminium, stainless, or plastic so hopefully it won't corode. Haven't tried it yet but optimistic.
Mike

lots of advantages

couple of negatives . i tried the mad frog setup on my revo . of of the disadvantages is obviously kelp or grass can get hung up , and believe it or not , the drag created from the arm is noticeable . just my opinion . one great thing about being portable , you can quickly grab your unit , put it in your back pack , and hump it back to vehicle before someone fudges with your stuff . . let us know how you like it .

Ya, I thought of kelp, grass, ect gettin caught on the down arm. The arm can rotate up or come all the way off in seconds with the push of a button. So , hopefully, clearing the transducer arm will be fast and easy and not involve removing the whole battery box assmbly. Mikeif
