La Jolla Sunday Too much bait

My wife and I paddled out around 10:30 and stayed until about 3:30. It was beautiful out, flat like a lake and sunny. Bait was busting all around so it was easy to put some nice dines and macs in the livewell. I dropped a mac down to about 70' and slow trolled while tossing the surface iron into the crashing bait. Couldn't get a hit on the on the surface iron, so switched it up to yo-yo, nothing there either. When we came in, we met Kevin and he offered to let me try out his PA. Geez I'm jealous...what a sweet rig. We talked a while and he shared great information, it was nice to meet you and hope to see you on the water again. If you need bait for your lobster traps....nows the time to go.
