Thanks for the heads-up on the wind... As I was going out, the wind didn't seem too bad. Then it picks shortly after, then dies for quite a while. Around 4pm, it a blazing headwind all the way to the launch.. what shoulda been 15 min turned into 30-40 min in the ol' FnD. Nothin but a liz fish for me..

Let's hope this wind settles. Blew off this morning (no pun intended) due to the steady offshore.

Plenty of people out yesterday, nothing but a sculpin for me. Even the boneys that kept popping up in piles did not seem to be biting for anyone. The threat of wind had me worried about a long paddle in with my Saturday work schedule, glad the weatherman got the AM portion wrong.

Duh! It's for those of us who spend too much time on the internet and not enough time on the water...

Ha-ha....too true
Launched just before 6 am today at Lake La Jolla, no wind, no swell, no clouds....and fishy as can be. Lots of bites, the three B's for me today, Boni's/Berries/Bass, Great time on the water. I also had the rare chance to paddle back in via the point no waves at all. It's really amazing that we get to fish in such a great place. paddled back to the landing staying about 20 ft or so from land. Water clarity was great, tons of orange fish swimming around. |
