Nasty morning to begin with. High tide and big swell made for the most exciting launch I've had in months. Went up and over 4 successively bigger breakers...3 seconds later and I would have been screwed. Steady 10-12 offshore made for a chilly morning but that wind finally died an hour after sunrise. No bait to be found straight out or by the kelp. One midget calico and a couple whitefish was it for me. Lots of slime, birds were stacked up heavy on it and little logs were flying around.

That's when my FishN'Tank scares me... I know I don't have enough speed to beat the break and I get hammered.. Sucks! Thanks for the report. You didn't bother with the pier for bait.. any reason?
