checked the site.. not much info on what they target or where... or who they are. all i know is if i spend 200 bucks i can go fish in orange county, get a safety brief and be recorded on a gopro.

A friend of mine went out with him and loved it. I went out with the two of them on a separate day- he know where the threshers are. Talking with him you could go after whatever you wanted that's up this way(Orange County).

Kudos for this guy that's doing what he loves to do and working the angles to get paid for doing it.

My thoughts that may make that $200 price tag easier to swallow:
- Add photos to the site (pictures of all sorts of fish and fish stories)
- be sure the people never heard of la jolla (let alone the samurai or darkhorse.
- should include bait, lunch (smoked fish from Johns fish market) and at least 1 cold beer. Eat and drink at the headlands an unbelievable setting. . . priceless).
- Should encourage fly fishing (everything feels big/powerful on a fly rod AND if/when the client get's skunked they won't feel as bad. The "art" of Fly Fishing isn't easy). Maybe they'll pony up another $200 to do it again.

That $200 bucks is too much for me... Good for him for starting the business. I'm sure it'l be lucrative for him in the long run and fun for those who do not own a kayak.

But $200 + tip for 3/4 day? At that point, hire a boat out of Mako Matt's with 3 friends. Cheaper, better range, more room to walk around.

I swear I was asking myself the same thing. I can think of reasons for the iPAD but what the hell is the FUNNEL FOR!

Also, if he wants to encourage people to pay his price tag he should have someone proof read his website, and maybe pay someone to do a professional job on it.

2. used as a megaphone cone to yell at people form a distance
3. wear it as a hat

This thing is crazy man. I think the dc outlet is to charge the ipad or for use with one of those heating blankets if he gets cold or wet you know.

That would be pretty cool, leave a nice protected Newport and get into some t-sharks.

Looks like with a few photos his site will be rockin'. Pulling for the guy and his business.
