Cedros Island Kayak Fishing

Check out the video of Moyers recent trip to Cedros. I will be hosting the same trip in early October, but with kayaks. If interested give me a shout for all the details.

I have fished down there on kayaks three times and it is just insane.

Here is some video that the owner of Cedros Outdoor adventures shot of us on our last trip.

Awesome video, Moyer killed it out there. One day I'll get to Cedros, wish it was October.

Great vid. It looks like every YT and halibut was gaffed and all calico bass released. Gotta ask, Is there some sort of Cedros purge of all non-bass or do the calis enjoy some sort of "sacred cow" status? Mike

The choice is yours but I prefer to release all calico bass and have not kept one in many years. One nice YT or Halibut gives more meat than 10 calicos. At cedros there are so many big calicos that keeping a few is not such a big deal but I really hate keeping them up here.
Call them my sacred cow if you like, but it is just a personal choice.

You know, maybe I should just keep my Scupper Pro for trips like this and those mothership trips where a Hobie PA is just too huge for the job...

Here is a bit more video from Cedros. I caught a nice yellow in about two feet of water. Plus more out off the island a bit.
