Silver (old)Saltist vs Torium? which wins the showdown?

Also heard you can replace a piece on the Torium,anti-reverse I think? can't recall.... and that makes it a more solid reel - truth to this?

I believe the new Toriums have the change, if not there's an upgrade using a Trinadad dog and spring plus a new set of Carbontex drags and your in. Theres also a drag plate upgrade but I haven't explored that yet.

Upgrade the drag and dog spring thats all you need no need for plate for the torium

In the torium you need to know how to work with reels and that stupid spool design, you need a drill press to remove a bearing or risk warping the shaft and spool

Saltist is ready to play out of box drag upgrade is optional and hella easy to maintain....no flying springs in the handle, bearings are easy to take in and out.

I hate going to Wallyworld myself, just thought I'd throw out a good deal on a great reel. Hell, go on down to Squidco or Charkbait and see if they'll price-match.

Is it just me or does your I.Q. seem to drop when you walk into Wallyworld?

It depends on the location, I think. For instance, not only does your i.q. drop when you enter Wallyworld in Hesperia, but I am fairly sure your FICO score does, too.
