work em till hes spent. if he does less then three hard runs, loosen your drag jab him with your paddle, play the leader like a guitar, anything to piss him off and get him running again. When hes spent, get him to the yak, calmly grab one pec fin and roll him onto his back he should go dormant and be easier to handle. If he's small enough you can grab his tail and pull him over your lap but if hes that small you might as well get your release tool ready and unhook him while hes still in the water so he can grow up.
