10/6 BWE tourney pre-fish
My prediction is that whoever trips over a decent halibut will do well. A big bonie could end up being a money fish. Some big macs out there as well so the mackerel jackpot will be interesting. Keep in mind that some of us throw out the flyline while making bait. It's all over the place so no need to bunch up. See everyone down there tomorrow. Team OEX is gonna put the screws to Team Wilderness and team sheepf$cker. :P

Mad - I have a suggestion- don't fish where people are making bait !. You are bound to have someone come up near you looking for bait. You may consider a flag or something to let people know you are fishing???

How about:
Assume the other guy is fishing. Period. If you see smoke from the barbie, you're probably safe, though. Brad I had no idea you were "the bait guy". Rough. Z |

Prefish mid day: Let's just say finbait was tough to make
Nice light winds and a couple of healthy sized bones were found near the bottom. Good luck tomorrow! |

Some mornings it's worse than the dogs, as soon as one guy catches a bait there are 5 yaks right on top of him. I keep my flyline short when I'm making bait as well, but I've had guys crawl up 5 ft from me after they saw me catch a mac. Between the crowds and the lobster buoys out there, we all need to be careful about each others space and lines. BTW, there was very little current this morning so the buoy lines were straight up and down.
Stevo, funny thing, there are sometimes fish where the bait is. Imagine that. As for a flag, what's wrong with a fishing pole with a line hanging in the water? Chris, even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then. Anyone can get lucky once while clearing a backlash.:P Place in an extended tournament and we'll talk.
