Instead of having only 1 layer protecting your game from freezer burn, there are 2. I've done vacuum packing side by side with shrink wrap and without and there is a huge difference between the 2. Also, I'm using a pro II foodsaver.

Been doing this method for quite some time now. Wouldn't freeze fish or meat any other way!
