March
This was a fantastic competition all year. to all the competitors, the big 2011 WCW champ: Josh Pruitt and Andy & Adi for keeping this competition alive & strong! For me, the best news of all......I'm not divorced yet. I put alot of energy into fishing this year and the one thing it has really shown me is that catching these fish consistently is hard work. Here's my March production: 11 lb. halibut, 31" fork, bait, 3/5/12 42 lb. YT, 45" fork, heavy iron, 3/28/12

Awesome run Eric. I bet your girls are excited to get their Daddy back. (Your marriage must be rock solid, mine survived 3 combat deployments but the WCW would have killed it).
Now that the contest is over, can we please go back to fishing for what we actually want to catch? :ch eers1: You, Don, and RK battling it out, very cool finish and all top notch fishermen. |

Nice work finding those yellows this month (and also staying married)
Fishing the conditions (freezing cold water) instead of the calender (spring, cbass in the kelp) almost always pays off. Your a nice guy and a hell of a fisherman.....MUCH RESPECT!!! |

A race to the finish line...
Way to finish strong, Eric.
That's a beauty of a Yellowtail. I can just imagine what you were thinking as you slid that game-clip through her gills. Especially since this fish was caught on one of the last days of the submission period. Right down to the wire! What a feeling that must have been when she stopped the jig. That one strike alone was probably worth your twenty bucks to enter this tournament. Something along the lines of: please stay on, please stay on, please stay on---followed by yes, yes, yes, I've done it!
