Sails in Costa Rica Video
Yes we use a boat to get out to these fish. They were about 6 miles off the beach and due to the time constraints of shooting a show we just have to get out there as fast as we can, plus we have to have a camera boat. If you were there and didn't have the pressure of getting fish on tape you could paddle to these fish. Once on the fishing grounds we trolled from the kayaks for several hours before the first hookup. We ended up with three fish and certainly could have had more if everyone fished rather than watching the one person hooked up. There were a lot of fish around. This was on the Osa Peninsula which is in the southern part of Costa Rica.
