what 2 do with leftover bait from a shark skunk

After getting skunked all morning trying to catch a shark I decided to paddle in. Had 2 tiny little 6" or 7" macs left in the bait tank so I rigged up for hali and slowly drifted into the harbor and back towards mothers beach. Got all the way to the public fishing dock and was about to call it a day when WHAMO!this butt hits my line then makes a run and takes out every fishermans line that was fishing off the dock (this is when I love 50# braid ). Love how a skunk day can turn around so fast. Measured in at 31 and 3/4 inches.

Way to go William!

Don't drip Hali slime all over the kitchen or your wife will have your kayak in storage before you can say "But honey!"

Congrats!

All it takes is one bite to turn around a slow day...even at the 11th hour.

Nice!

A great use of left over bait. At least you weren't eating it, like many have succumbed to doing

NICE ONE!

I had what I hoped was a big halibut foul me into the mexicans fishing on the breakwall.Turned out to be batman, but at least I learned some new spanish that is not appropriate to share.Good to see one come out of NPH recently. Those wallbangers and rental boats hit that area pretty hard.Next time I go for a thresher out of NPH I am going to have a mac on the bottom as well as a flyline.

Yeah T bone and its sad because half those rental skiffs have no clue about a size limit our care if they do know. Pretty fished out. But I think these guys are coming in from outside to spawn. My friend I was with said that the lighter and cleaner the belly looks, the less time the fish has spent in the harbor. I don't know if this is true our not? sounded good though. I'm curious to se what these storms are going to do to the fishing in the next week. It might be time to stop chasing shark and put some time in chasing butt
