Bugging Sat night

Julie and I went Saturday.
Picked up a $10 scoop of 'dines. Set our nets, baitless, about 3:30PM, then fished for halibut for about a couple of hours.
I lost one legal 'but to a seal (probably about 24").
Then, we fished lobsters at night, getting 4 legal ones, and 4 very nice crabs to boot, including the biggest we've ever seen, a good 7 inches across his back.
Not too bad, but a long days work when done from a 'yak, i.e. loading and unloading the truck twice, loading and unloading the 'yaks with trolling motors and 60lb marine batteries, 5 nets a piece, etc. A steak and lobster dinner Sunday night was our reward, somewhat made up for the work and soreness (plus the meals to come). 12 hours total on the water, normal for us.

Here's the bathtub shot.

mmmmm red rock crabs, alot of work but very good. I usually find these guys in the sand, not the rocks with the bugs, nicely accomplished!
