I'm new but can already tell that the paddle I got when I bought my used Cobra FnD is too small. It's 79" or 200cm. The width of my yak is about 36" wide and my paddle just isn't cutting it. I have no idea how to select the right paddle. Does anyone have any input for a newb?
Thanks, Randy |

Randy, 200cm is tiny on that boat. On a FnD your more likely to be a 230 or more likely 240cm
The rest of it is all about your paddle stroke angle, material/budget, and then the straight vs bent shaft. Id recommend either coming down to Mission Bay or up to Sunset Beach and talking to one of us about paddles. We can show you the differences in the paddles we stock and you can even demo some of them. |

Thanks, Randy NVM, I found it 16910 PCH in Sunset. I'll swing over this Saturday afternoon. Last edited by Dunegoat; 06-01-2011 at 10:43 AM. |
