Historical Swell Data?
They were breaking completely over the breakwater. |

Go to:
www.lajollasurf.org Click on the 'weather' Click on 'Bouys' A list of bouys will come up Click on one of the bouys listed. The summary page has a drop down menu to move to the other bouys. The Torrey Pines Outer bouy is just northwest of Scripps and is accurate for the launch. On the drop down there is also an oceanside bouy. On any of the bouy pages you can scroll back 24 hours to see detail for the last 24 hours. You scroll back by hovering the curser over the 24 hour wave height graph, as you go back the height for each interval will change. Take note that the bars represent different swell intervals. Depending on where you're going out, swell interval is as important as swell height. |
