How much does OEX charge for an angler package that day for veterans? My navy buddy might be interested in going.
Not sure if you are looking for a rental kayak, if so it would need to be taken care of today.

Keep in mind that there are no walk ups, he is more than welcome to fish and enjoy the tacos at the park with out entering, but prepaid $25 to enter goes right to HOW minus $1.05 payal fee. Cut off is midnight tonight!

Best of luck to everyone tomorrow. I'll be camping with the family this week so can't make it. Looking forward to the videos and pics. Tight lines....

Since the new Outbacks are not out yet, I know I had some extra $ I could contribute to this cause (in memory of a couple of close high school friends who never came back from Nam) and for those that have come back from serving with various challenges.

Smile 2014 RUMBLE FISH

It turned out to be a beautiful day at La Jolla. The surf was smaller than average and the clouds cleared early. Bait was around but greenbacks where hard to find. Afterwards at Stanley Park the Halibut fish tacos where awesome. Thank You Tony P., for the fish donation. Thank You Skrilla, for the Custom Rod and Gaff donation. The first place award for biggest fish was also largest WSB caught by Greg Barnicoat 50lbs. Largest Yellow Tail was 18.2 lbs, largest Hali was 36.4 lbs and the Rock Fish category was won by a 1.8 lbs Boccaccio. Another Great event for a great cause (Heroes on the Water) Thank You to all who couldn't participate but donated anyway. Thank You, to all the guys from OEX for all they do.

Had fun. Slow fishing for me. Anyone find a gaff? I think I dropped it when loading up for the picnic.

Fun time all day long. Roby squeeked in at the last minute with a 21.8 YT to take that category. Good event for a great cause.

2nd best part of the day was watching Tony go one way with a toad Thresher and Greg going the other with his winning WSB...I was sitting there watching it go on like...
My best part of yesterday was seeing the volunteers, donations and sponsor gifts for this event...
Tony's 25# of butt filet...great tacos
Len's (Skrilla) custom rod and gaff
Werner paddle
OEX bait tank
COKE!
Free beer and donuts comedy relief boat
etc...etc...etc...
Thank you guys!

Jim
