He he...

21 spearos and counting.... and no shenanigan (unlike the MLPA votes).

A few more spearos and I'm ready for that Sapporo Premium, Mr. Fiero.

(This is beside the point but 34 BloodyDeckers signed up so far. )

There will be some firework on June 4th. They screwed up this time if they think they can just bully consumptives over.

Stoked...I'm in!

Hours of traffic both ways and public speaking, two things I hate more than anything in the world...I can't wait!

Thank-you guys, to each and every one of you who is making the trip to speak up for your fisheries and businesses.

To those who can't make it, please make sure to send your comments by letter. It's the least anyone who might be affected by an MLPA closure should do.

Should someone call the LA Times or SD Tribune to let them know there's going to be a good story to cover? Lots of angry people at one place screaming at a committee chosen by our bankrupt state government...potential for law enforcement to keep things in check...that would catch their attention.

One names comes to mind...

TURKO

On a serious note, if anyone has some pull in this department a little publicity could really help us out.

I'm in.

I can't let this pass and be mad forever if they make a bad decision and I did nothing.

When they came for the Jews, I did nothing, for I am not a Jew. When they came for the Socialists, I did nothing, for I am not a Socialist. When they came for the labor leaders, the homosexuals, the gypsies, I did nothing, for I am none of these, and when they came for me, I was alone, there was no one to stand up for me. -- Martin Niemoller, a Lutheran pastor from Nazi Germany

At least we can feel like we gave it a shot.

I can't go this time. It was great seeing so many of you at the Santa Ana meeting last month. From what I observed I have a few recommendations.

Manage your emotion, some people (not kayakers) came across as angry, the audience doesn't hear the message of the angry person. Angry people are fun to watch but no ones takes them serious.

Say something like "I'm an environmetalist, I care more about this ecosystem than most people".

Don't show off any big fish you caught recently, especially sharks.

Stay away from "catch and release" justifications. Many people including myself don't understand why people get joy dominating and ripping lips of cute little fishies just to throw them back in the water. "Sustainable consumption" based on DFG monitoring may be more appropriate. YMMV on this one.

I understand the public comment section is at 9.40, but what time does the entrie event begin, and are we planning a specific time to meet beforehand?

By the way, kudos to those taking the lead on this and organizing the troops.

I can't make the meeting this week. I was at the Santa Ana one. It wa very enlightening to attend. I am by no means a great public speaker and was able to get up and put in my opinion. Don't let the speaking part keep you from attending. You need to let your voice be heard. Speak from the heart, it doesn't need to be the best speech we all have ever heard. But be heard, don't regret it later.

I'd try to get there by 8AM, so you can fill out a card to speak, or cede your time!

Thank you for attending participating!

We have a lot of people stepping up here, but there are still hiding behind their keyboards rationalizing why they can't make it, work, etc. This process is 2/3 over, and I have said before unless you have surgery, you must attend. Work is not an excuse, many of us on this list, have work obligations, but are attending anyway.

It is the 4th quarter, 2 mins left, are you gonna punt? or punch that F-in ball in the endzone!!!
