That would be one hell of a peddle/paddle back to the launch!

Dooooooooooooode! That is awesome, congrats. I didn't have that kind of good luck yesterday at LJ. For the first time I could not get a single mac, no matter what kind. Lots of small fry jumping from the barracudas. After two hours of trying I just started trolling rapalas, waxwings, and irons. Finally found a boil and hook a nice yellow on the surface iron and lost it to a bent treble hook from just being impatient and trying to pull it out of the kelp instead of giving him some more line so as to let the braid cut the rest of the kelp. I stupidly tried to just muscle it out after only cutting through some of the kelp he took me into on the bottom. Hooks on irons are not as forgiving as a circle hook. Still it was an awesome beautiful day and the hook up and sleigh ride made all the paddling worth it. That fish was incredibly strong and just kept pulling line even after tightening the drag and all the time still my yak was moving really fast, then he just went straight to the bottom and I could not stop him.

Nice I recently saw 3 dorado cruising by my PA. Casted on them with an iron but no takers. Really amazing colors.
