Do we need individual boat permits or is a mex licence enough? |

boat permits apparently not needed when launching from a mothership - just individual permits.

I'm so jealous... I love my son more than anything in the world but at the same time I miss some of the freedoms that come with being single or married without kids. Wish I could join you guys. I'm sure I'd learn a lot.

Brent,
I had good luck at both places on regular cattle boats (Sergios in Ensenada). It seems to me the moon was going towards a new moon, and we killed the at Todos. Can't wait to try it on a yak! Good luck, Marco

We have a waxing crescent right now, but both my astrologist and my herbalist told me the signs were good, and I confirmed this with my chicken bone oracle and tarot cards. Signs point to good fishing!
Just for good measure, I might have my Catholic grandmother say few novenas and light some candles. I find all those are about as good a predictor for my success as anything else! :-D |

If I recall correctly, the law was changed and now no boat permits are required in baja. Not even for "real" boats.

Arrgh! I asked last week and was given the impression that I'd have to get it separately. I had to pay $35 for a one week permit from Squidco. Shoot, that 15 bucks would by a couple more $3 swimbaits that I'm so good at losing... Guess I'll have to drive back down there on Sunday and fish some more to get my money's worth. :-D

The last trip is the 15th-17th and it's full. They generally run the kayak trips April through June, before they switch to their regular tuna schedule. Check back early next year if you'd like to get in on one. |

This is the mothership trip I am going on this weekend. http://www.sdkayaks.com/tours.html They have another scheduled for October 10-12 going to SCI. I think the Qualifier 105 has mothership trips, but they a much longer range. Marco
