I fish man I swear, I just dont catch. Noone was bitching about guys catching fish. If you read the post its guys catching fish bitching about guys who dont because we are to busy on the internet. I drove 200 miles and went 36 hrs without sleep to fish LJ yesterday and I'm fishing Newport today. I just don't think one mans fishing ability gives him the right to classify another man or make assumptions about his dedication to this sport.

Hmm, what kind of bird am I? One that is green with envy. You have a way with words that rivals your skills to put fish on deck.

Bet you 25 cents that last post is from a "regular" LJ kayaker trying to get fish reports to stop.

Classic.

A few months ago I was being harassed by a cormorant, it kept going for my Mac. It would'nt leave me alone. I looked at it a little closer and noticed its beak was wrapped tightly shut with black electrical tape. Funny, this thread made me think about this day. I suppose one fisherman got sick of this guy stealing their bait and taped it shut. But after reading this thread, I started to think that maybe the real reason was that someone was trying to silence it. Could it have been a Pelican with a roll of tape? I lured it closer with my mac and with one skillful swoop of my hand, caught the poor cormorant and freed him from his impending doom. Afterall, all birds have the right to catch fish even if they are not as good at it as others.

Well done Josh
So your saying you can't catch fish from behind a keyboard?
No wonder there are so many people upset...

Nothing wrong with a little internet / cormorant bonding,
but after awhile you must:

PS
next time I ask to try out that 3rd reel on the right... please just say NO!

Fuggin arms still hurt

After a long overdue weekend of fishing ive decided each man is entitled to their opinions. I'll get myself through the workweek the same way I always do and look forward to my next skunk. Squwaaaaaaaaaak

Come on guys get over it.

I see the report within the story:

Quote:
Despite what the fishing reports of 2006 have to say: It's not wide-open; and everyone isn't catching White Sea Bass. Or, Yellowtail for that matter. It's the same ebb and flow of the Sea---year after year. Conditions are in a constant state of flux, mind you. The moon comes and goes. The tides change accordingly. The same guys who catch fish, keep catching fish.
Bennyblanco, you might want to contribute at least 1 fishing report before you jump on a soap box and criticize someone else’s. You have 79 posts? You started 3 threads? And not one is "fish report".

But fair warning, as much as some criticize the style in which information is shared, "not much of a fish report" etc. etc. and wants to be hand fed information.
There is a whole other genre of flaming fish reports, I don't see it here... yet?
But having experienced it first hand I can tell you some out there want NOTHING shared EVER!

Guess it's true you can't please all the people all the time. But Josh knows that, and he contributed anyway. The same cannot be said for many who have posted on this report.

As the great comedian Steven Wright, he once said:
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. ~Steven Wright
Or
There’s a fine line between fishing and just sitting behind the keyboard like an idiot.

Well then William it was a productive weekend for you. I'm sure if you keep at it you will get the fish your after, looking forward to the report.
