Keep them coming.... ...and for the last time there are no fish in No. Co., especially in Cardiff. You'll have better luck in your bath tub Thanks, Josh Last edited by j mo; 06-04-2009 at 10:46 AM. |

I was on one of those motor boats yesterday. My buddy took me out and I have to be honest, I would have rather been on my yak. He could never sit still long enough to actually FISH! Its like he has to keep moving all over instead of waiting an area out. With a boat I guess it is too easy to run all over hoping the grass is greener over there or behind them. Personally I have way more success from the yak while at same time spending no money on fuel or bait and creating zero pollution.
Way to go on fine tuning your WSB hunt and the release of that great looking little YT. |

You are such a kook. You are the kind of guy that ruins so cal. I am a third generation encinitas local. Born at scripps. Grew up on a 28 acre farm in cardiff west of the 5. My grandpa bought his land before the 5 was even built..yada yada yada. Im sure you must rip at everything you do. you must be in your cubicle at your pitifull pen pushing job. Or maybe collecting unemployment. Get a life dork.

I typically sit back and read when on fishing forums, because it seems that I'm just a run of the mill kind of fisherman. I do have to comment on what Fish Patrol said and refer back to a comment that Darkhorse said. Guys like FP are merely trolls that are specifically looking to get people riled up. As darkhorse referred to his forum posting brethren as "computer lurking fishermen", many of those on this board may not be familiar with the term troll (other than a method of presenting baits of course). Trolls are simply people that have nothing worthwhile to add to the conversation so they simply look to inflate their own egos with posts that get people pissed off. Just like with little kids, best to leave them alone and they'll go away.

Bob, take it easy! Guys like fish patrol are a dime a dozen, they appear every so often. Some guys who you've never heard of before come on and post negative connotations just too get arise out of others. This has been going on for years. DH,
Thanks for a very thoughtful, enjoyable post. It is clear that your love of the sport and especially where you fish are genuine. I picked up my first kayak on Wed from OEX and spent a couple hours out on the bay figuring out how to get from one place to another, manage a rod in the kayak while staying upright, and even managed to catch a lizard fish and a small sandie. I can honestly say that the on the water experience was amazing. I bought a kayak because I love to fish and wanted to be able to get out on the water without all the hassel and expense of a power boat or the crowds of the party boats. I had no idea how relaxing and how much fun just being out would be. I've been in the Navy for 17 years and have spent some great time out at sea. I've been in and out of San Diego bay on the bridges of Destroyers, Cruisers and Frigates more times than I can remember, but the experience from a kayak is completely different and incredible. Some time in the next few weeks I hope to get out experience the same thing at La Jolla. I expect the experience to be just as neat. Thank you to you and everyone else on this board and elsewhere who are fighting to keep that experience open to all for the future. Until checking out this board, I had never even heard of the MLPA and what it threatens. Now that I am aware of it I'll try to do my part as well. Nice pictures, nice write-ups and especially - nice fish.

Nice story and I must say kayaks are totally a different experience than a private boat also. Funny how all of a sudden a "joe blow" fisherman has to fight for his right to fish his ocean. Perhaps fishing your local waters may someday be a crime.

Lol Josh, well done!
After they cut the mic off on you today (classy), and you made a bee line for the door, I knew exactly where you were headed. I hope you can see the compliment to you that comes from the number of player hating posts you recieve. I've had many a chuckle form the 3 post having, join date: ten minutes ago types and they're jealous, weak attacks against you. They're just tipping their hats in their own little way. As always, you handle them with class. Nice fish, and well done on the mic today as well. Willy |

As a faithful lapdog, I would just like to say keep the post coming. It inspires me every time I read them to get back out there and give it another shot. BTW, I am back from Cabo and will be ready to fish soon.

Good looking fish there Josh. What a Thoroughbred! You should name that fish Freisen Fire As to the detractors... Well like I said in my thread: d@mned if you do damned if you don't. You know I watch these threads with a certain amusement as I have a similar crowd of internet haters following me around up here. Funny thing is I almost never see them on the water, and I certainly did not see them at the MLPA meeting yesterday. Good to see you there. I know that drive well as it's my standard one to get to your waters. Cool to see that some are willing to make it the other direction just too keep us fishing on those prime locations. You, Moyer, Joe and the others made a big difference with your presence. Thanks for doing your part, and like I said nice fish, both of them. Once the C's get that triangulation shape to their heads you know they are the real deal. Good fishing to you, Jim |
