Those are some great looking fish! I can't wait for my turn. I usually go up in mid summer when the fishing is slower. Guess I should schedule an early run next year. I hate the drive home

Note to self...Never , Ever, travel on a Holiday again ...LOL
Worst traffic I've ever encountered on 395...
The last fish for the trip was on the yellow/white 1/32 HUB...released for the next trip at the end of the month...
Lots of weather and some cold nights...but overall it was another incredible trip with some beautiful sights and adventures...like the nighttime kayak trip on Silver Lake to watch the full moon rise on a flat calm night...and being one of the first folks into Yosemite when it opened last Thursday...hiking around Rush Creek before it opened to fishing and have the whole place to myself...watching those big giant snowflakes fall and instantly melt on the ground...beautiful quality fish for such slow fishing overall...and another delicious crawdad boil with friends....

Cafe

One last meal at the Silver Lake cafe...a must stop for breakfast if you're ever in the area.

So how do you primarily fish those hookups for trout? Cast, troll or jig?

It isn't so much the method or lure used. It's the fish attractant oozing out of the lure that accounted for the catches. Just my humble opinion by the way.

HUBs...?

...Monkey...Still got a problem with the HUBs..?......he paid his fines and did his time...and is running a successful operation, is winning lots of tourneys without cheating, and helps the youth in fishing...
Be a good Christian/human and give a guy a second chance...
I tried other spoons and lures on this trip and used the HUBs with no scent and IMHO the HUBs still outproduce the others by far...
Yes the new Crawfish scent works outrageous...but the action of the tube baits gets them to bite...and the scent keeps em holding on...
LOL...Years of collecting all this stuff...and now I use just a few HUBs...LOL

I wasn't talking about method or "type of lure". If you read what I said, you would see I was talking about fishing attractant. Again, it's just my humble opinion.

I was up there and saw your kayaks and traps in the water. Fishing was really good for me, too. Kayaking after 1pm was tough every day at silver so we went to Gull a few times. Good bites and catches all around. Brought some HUB's in pink and chartreuse that did the job pretty well but my GF was using a pink rooster tail and totally out-fished me Always a good time up there.
