That's a sweet action shot! & you were not the only one struggling with the sand that day, saw a couple guys this weekend having a rough time, My bronco including had some slippage for a sec.

That was a great first time kayak ocean fishing LJ report. The picture is awesome. I would bet that after that experience and sleigh ride you must have gotten, that you are now HOOKED. The power of a large fish trying to get free is unbelievable! Congrats.

Awesome! 3 years back I was visiting a friend in Santa Cruz. He says, "I got 2 kayaks, and you know how to fish, want to go out?" Off to Big 5, $40 rod/reel and the next day out we went at the end of his street. I hooked up a thresher and got broke off in about 20 seconds and he got a huge halibut and broke his rod and lost it. I was re hooked on ocean fishing after taking 10 years off. The fix!
