I put it down to avoid needing to support the portion hanging out

Thanks jpp9565

It looks like I'll have to start doing that if I go with the 14

2200 with tank

Has new pump and battery charger . This deal is just in time for end of summer bashing . This yak comes with some solid ju ju . 32 lb butt and a pair of home guard jacks . More than enough to get you going .

I have a 2014 PA 12 and an Avalanche as well. I now ha a a Zieman trailer but when I would make solo trips I would have the mid gate up and have a bed extender

I keep the mid gate up and just leave the tailgate down. All but four feet of the kayak is supported that way. I typically transport both my buddies and my outback that way with no problems.

If I get the 14 I will have to put the mid gate down. I don't want to have more of the yak sticking out of the back then inside the bed lol
