Lipripper, he was hung up almost to the point of giving up. The sea lion dove on him and he made a run, effectively sawing the kelp and busting loose. It's a gamble throwing your reel into freespool but I guess it was worth it.

very, very nice fish, toads 4 sure...oh in the second pic, the guy in the background with the red truck and red 1920 model ocean kayak is very shady, he's got some very odd and unusual tendencies. Be careful when around him..
