I figure I could sell mine for around 1100-1300 and pick one up a few hundred more? I really don't wanna hang a pvc over the side for transducer. Any ideas how to stick it in the water any other way?

So I grabbed a 2014 model early in year . There is one other method that works well. Lowrance sells mount that slides through scupper hole in back of yak . Transducer will be in water exposed slightly under yak . Of course you will negate one of the best features of the hobies , which is the add on bait tank with rod holders .

Looks good. Cheaper than upgrading to lowrance ready. Will you cart still work? You should notice a major difference in picture.

Would you be able to use this:

http://www.westmarine.com/west-marin...03_094_010_501

Works great for sending wires through plastic while still maintaining water proof. Hole saw for the drilling.

Get the Hobie through hull wiring kit. You just need a 1" spade bit to install them. I am almost sure that they have them at OEX as well, just couldn't find a link to them on their website.

X2- let us know it is Tamddo . I've been wanting new electronics, and $300 is much more affordable than $500-650 or whatever the 5.7 and 7 inch are.
