Nice catch! I want a chair too! One day, I will try to get one installed and see what it's like...
Can you post a picture of what your's looks like without the chair?

Could we have a picture of the mounting bracket under the seat?
I was wondering if it would work in a Hobie also. |

I modified a boat seat similar to that but the one i used in my Outback was the heavy cushioned type. Even though i sat up higher i also did not notice any problems and it worked great even in rough conditions.
I had four connection points and i replaced the two screw in holders in front of the Outback seat with hobies pad eye screw ins and i clipped the front of the seat (both sides) to those. I ran a stiff stainless wire through the bottom of the seat which protruded out both sides and i bent them into loops. Those were the connection points up front. I had two in the back as well. The point is you can do it on an Outback with a little ingenuity. |

Congrats on the fish and nice mod with the seat. Looks like a great mod that will keep you on the water for hours. If you want something with more comfort they sell the padded ones for 50$ but its pretty heavy. Thanks for the info.

Congratulations on your PB!
I kinda dig the seat and may have to consider the same for my Stealth. QUESTION.... do you think the seat is of sturdy enough construction to pop a few (2-3) rod holders on the back? Mike |
