Do you have to have some type of special clearance to fish here or can the public access it? Looks like a great place. It is on the air base right?

The surf forecast for today was a new 11 foot swell at 17 seconds,
some beaches up there may be showing 20' waves on the sets.

... And...
winds gusting to 25 knots from the north.

Interested to know if it was even remotely launchable, or, a 'whitewater
wonderland' which is what I would absolutely expect. Unless your launch
is EXTREMELY protected .. and I'm thinking boat house would be the only
option.

Those are some beautiful fish. Looks like a hard launch to me. I can see myself dropping my yak for sure!

Answering a lot questions

You do need special clearence or to be with the right person with that clearence. The launch at the northern end of the base is a very easy launch. There really isnt much cliff to it and it is like a ramp walking down to it. The boat house is an aswome place to fish and the drop in is very easy with a lot of protection from the surf. Today the wind was blowing around 25 when we got out there even at 4am. We did not fish it today but did more recon then anything. Looking to hit it on sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice catch! I've fished just South of there at Jalama. The landing can be tougher than County Line on a rough day. The wind can turn on like a switch, so be sure to have yer radios.

Thank you for your post. Your report reminds me of what BWE used to be. I place where you could share information with each other in a timely manner.
