It must be the glasses...
Unlike the mindless blind strike that comes from dragging a mac, watching this happen to you or a nearby friend is awesome! When I saw that explosion yak side, I shouted out, and it wasn't even my hook up! Well done.

The bite I never heard about??
Did you hear about my neighbor's cat?? The lawnmower took a bite outta her; cut her entire left side off... The cat's all right now. (I gotta keep working on pitchin' those irons) Congrats! |

Being able to cast the jig is really important, but any of us could learn that with practice. The real art behind sight fishing is in the 'sight', which seems to me to be more like sixth sense that combines vision, hearing and intuition. That is with the rare exception of a fish crashing the kayak.
I haven't had a chance to try my new jigstick yet. (fancy spinning outfit), because I seem to lack time on the water and 'sight'. Can that be learned? |

That was a cool day. I have never seen such a huge boil of yellows.
I remember seeing the fish that you caught it was literally 2-3 feet away from you. I thought it was going to hit the boat.... |

Which jig stick? Mostly mine are above 9'. I really like my LB100 right now and she's 9'6". Every jig stick is meant for a certain size jig/weight of the jig. Every rod has it's place and I don't use only one throughout the day. Just depends on weather, water clarity, and how hungry the fish are.

will be there from 9/5 thru 9/"until I catch one". Seriously. We in norcal are lucky to have a WSB bite going on right now, so will be going out tomorrow- as they may not be around soon. Congrats on the double! |
