LOOK MAW, TWINS!!!!
I'll share the story later but just so you know there was some of..............
this this this and this Here it is: Got a hot tip Friday night regarding a specific location but since I was working I had to wait until Saturday night. Launched Saturday around midnight to nice conditions, dropped some bait at the spot where my cherry was popped and started peddling away.. Hook up on first fish in under 30min......BATRAY!!!!! Talked to Matt and peddled over to his location for NADA. Right around 5am we decide to peddle over to where the fleet normally hangs out. I see something on the sonar, ask Matt if he has bait in the water, he wasn't feeling well so between the vomiting and his words I was only able to make out, "F this shit, I don't know and I don't care". I had a few live and plenty of dead in the tank so I reach over, grab the first one that I can reach(dead one), pin it and down it goes. I'm slowly peddling and Matt is quickly pulling away. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz As I'm fighting I'm yelling at the top of my lungs, MATT!!!!! No response. First fish on the stringer so I make the call, GET YOUR *SS OVER HERE I FOUND THE FISH! The sonar was still metering the fish. Matt says a few words that disappoint me, I move on. After drifting for about 100 yards I finally have everything straightened up I pin another dead squid, drop it and no more than five minutes later, THUMP, THUMP, THUMP......I'm on again. Second fish is up and on the stringer, I decide to call it a day. As I'm coming in I stick my paddle in the water to check my depth (sonar was remove to strap down the fish) and it hit bottom with rougly 1/2 to 3/4 of it out of the water. I jump out and that half now becomes chest high when the first wave comes through. First waves go by and I get soak but kayak is still upright. The fish were now hanging over the side now and they make the yak go sideways on me. Next wave, yak gets tossed but I have it upright in under 10seconds. We pick everything up from the beach, I strip down to my shirt and undies and start looking for my two setups. NO LUCK!! Another yakker comes up to me, his name is Paul, has a yellow yak and a white Ford, he's always there. Anyway, he says that he saw where I got tossed and he'd be more than happy to help look for my setup as I pack up. We snap a few pics, talk to the people on the beach, Matt lies to all of them about what kind of fish I caught and we start to pack up. As I'm packing up Paul comes to my car with a rod and reel in hand, NO F-EN WAY.....it's my Teramar rod. I leave everything alone run back to where it was found but never found my other setup....ohh well. One is better than none. I thank Paul and tell him that I'll definitely hook him up next time I see him. I've given Paul bait at least twice and it paid off. After getting everything squared away at home it turns out that my only loose was my old rod and reel ($75-$100) and not the $400 that were written on the sand. Had a great time, brought some fish home and showed off to the neighbors (again). Doesn't the ride seem a lot shorter when you have fish in the car, WSB to be exact P.S. New P.B. 44.35lbs

Them look like Blue Fin Tuna! ask the all knowing lady on the beach, she knows for sure!
George you are the man! Too bad I couldn't have been a better fishing buddy today, leaving hungry fish to go puke my brains out I bet if you were to buy that much meat it would cost you a pretty penny!!!!!!!!!! You kicked some WSB ass! |
