LOBSTER SKUNKED

So I went out a couple of sats ago and caught three keepers my very first time out. then I went out this sunday nite saw one diver and passed him up. I had three traps, two had bait cages and were rigid, one had the callapsible net. i used frozen mac in all three. left the hoops out for about 45min too long???? the first time I think it was for about 20min. Well i retreived the hoops and they were completly empty, i mean no heads no bones NOTHING!!!!! Did I do something wrong??? the the cages were still closed and locked ???? I know my all net hoop was hit by a couple of large seals hanging around but the closed cages?????? Does nay one think it could 've been the diver????? I need a little help here guys for some tips

A diver wanting dead bait, don't think so! If you would of pulled after 15-20 mins probably would of caught the culprit(s).....

I'm sure the lobster was able to open your cage, take the bait out and close the cage. You'd be surprised what a lobster and octopus are capable of doing as a tag team.

Do not worry I was robbed too!

On Saturday this sealion was diving straight down at my hoopnet slurping up my bait. When I told him to go away he jumped in the air over my buoy and and dove down to someone elses hoop net!

A long time lobster fisherman told me about the seals. He said to make 2" PVC pipe, cap one end and have a screw in plug on the other end. He then said to drill holes in it and make it look like swiss cheese. He said the seals jaws can't crack the tough PVC. I have try my pvc tubes twice and have not lost any bait. The guys next to me got their bait stolen by a seal.
