just got a call from Masta Andy... He's busy, away from PC.

He asked me to post that he will be collecting $$$ on the beach from 5:00 to 5:20AM. After that, you're going to have to find him on the water if you want to play.

I was there. So if there's a winner Pat give him my $20.

There was no f'n way I was launching thru that surf. The screeching noise you heard was my peeling out before anyone talked me into launching.

Glad I was not the only one to arrive sackless.

I would have followed the herd, but a 3 way with Dan and Arne..........no thanks! Dan I owe you $20

I waited until first light and after pulling a couple 10 foot planks out of the launch, sat there in the slop with Avery and Tobey. I managed to get knocked down once ops: .

Tobey's yak got turned by the rip and wave refraction as he held the bow. A large clump of kelp tangled his tethered rods and made it impossible to right. It took all three of us to straighten it out. Ripped out one of his flushmounts and broke 2 rod tips. He was getting tangled in the kelp as well and it could have got worse. Glad you are OK Tobey! See you knuckle heads next time I took this as a sign to not fish today.

The year has just begun, I'd like to start off right.

glad I didn't miss anything.. had a squid/crew/drunken/scout trip last night that killed any chance of me waking up early...

Yeah Boy! I saw those two yaks on the sand, but I didn't think it was you guys. I saw Arne's truck and Ice's truck. I figured you were at the pier already.

I saw those barrels rolling around in the street. I saw the waves breaking against the pylons. Even my truck was happy to go home.

Dan; You can get a $20 from me also.

So Dan, did you get $20 from everyone just for launching into that slop or for catching something? I'm glad I missed out on this one.

I launched today around 1pm... took a few to the chest but made it out...
Birds, dogs and dolphings were working pretty hard... Brad and Nelz were there as well, hung around while scratching up a few macs and then I drifted back towards the point looking for a yoyo YT... nothin.. Not sure how Brad and Nelz ended up...

the trick is never wait till it's light enough to see what's really out there

Sonrisa primera - Odalay way.

I got soaked up to my teats, made bait with Arne at the pier and got out to the zone....i froze in the stiff east winds and Arne had severe pinneped issues.

We called it an early day, and as we came back into the reserve, the sun came out, the swell backed off and the wind died :? Maybe my 1# bonito would have taken it?

Totally different landing in easy 2 footers.
