Berkley Gulp Ghost Shrimp? Has anyone used them?

Just curious if these would be good to keep on hand, in the event live Ghosties can't be had.

Mainly targeting California Sheepshead with them? I saw the new penny 3" and thought they would be the best option.

Any other ideas?
Thanks and tight lines
Neill

I use em in the Big Bay with good results. I have only fished em on the dropshot while drifting.

You are better off useing Gulp crabs for Sheephead. New penny or molting color.

IMO live ghost shrimp works best. Pump and there you go tight lines.

I think you were out there when I got my big sheephead, I got it on real ghost shrimp. I'm going to start taking them out there again. I've spent a lot of hours out there getting skunked going after Yellows and Whites.
I'm not giving up them, I just want to catch something other than bait.

Yup todd that was me.
Its just not the easiest for me to pump out my own shrimp all the time, since I live 2 minutes from the shores launch, especially when I make a last minute decision to just go out in the AM.

I too want to have some on hand for when I'm not having luck with YT.

They do.... I agree, but as mentioned, I would hold onto fakes when live can't be obtained

I think the gulps would work on the sheepies, but like Drake said, save em for when you can't find the real stuff. I've caught sheeps on ghost shrimp, craw dads, clams, market shrimp, but the best I've found is fresh mussels tied to the hook. Mike
