How busy will Dana Point and the area be tomorrow?

Anyone have a crystal ball handy?
Thinking about launching at DP harbor in the early AM then having my wife and kids drive a seperate car down to meet up with me around noon-ish so they can hang out and swim and all.
My wife is worried about the amount of traffic and parking spots available mid-day?
Is there another swim friendly beach I should have her meet me at?

At noon she will not get a parking spot at Baby's Beach. It's been "turn-away" parking since Friday. 9:00 am probably the latest...

Somewhere we could both park without too musch issue?

Maybe even head further south toward Oceanside since I'll be headed to East SD later in the evening?

Is there anywhere you could drive down and park in the morning, then have the Family take the Train down there to meet you? I am not familiar with the trains down that way... Then you only have one car...

another idea... Kind of mean but It works...

If you have a motorcycle or streetbike you can take down with you, put it in the spot next to yours until you wife needs it then throw the bike back on the truck...

I haven't been to the harbor for 4th in probably 5 years but I can tell you that after a certain time( maybe like 8 or 10 am) you can't even get into the harbor by car. At noon she would probably be parking a few miles away in a neighborhood and walking

honestly i was thinking about it. But its gonna be such a mess in the harbor. The boat traffic is always SOOOO crazy. Dont trust the possibility of extremely intoxicated boaters. I think ill just wait for a normal day. I might try and do my first surf launch down at my friends girlfriends beach in south San Clemente cause i think we are plannin on hanging out there for the first half of the day, then probably heading to the harbor to chill on another friends sailboat and take part in the festivities down there.

If you can talk your wife into it, there is a train station in SJC, maybe 7 minutes from the harbor. That train also stops in Oside im pretttty sure.

Lets definitely get out there soon. If you do decide to fish just keep your eyes peeled and be careful out there.

have a good safe 4th everyone.

Baby beach was a Zoo yesterday and a Wild Animal park today. I'm afraid of what it would look like tomorrow . There's no way I'd be at any of the beaches tomorrow let alone that one. These past two days there have been people there at 5:00 taping off picnic areas and when I get back from fishing around 1-2 it's a complete cluster eff.

Good luck with whatever you decide. Stay safe.
