June gloom?

Just so you know---all the White Sea Bass and Yellowtail I've caught this month were released. Which is just another cool thing about joining West Coast Whoppers. Once you have your whopper for the month you can release the rest to fight another day!

So, if you're looking to catch your first trophy fish from a kayak---at least a few fish are still out there for the taking! If I had to guess---these fish that were released, will be all the wiser after coming so close to death, though.

Far less likely to slam a blue and white colored Candybar streaking across the surface anytime soon.
