4/18 NPH: 1st Time Kayak

Hey guys,

I hit NPH for the first time in my newly purchased kayak. I went with some friends who had a lot of kayak experience, so that definitely helped, although it sucked to be awkwardly trying to paddle around while they were catching fish the first hour or so!

The three of my buddies caught over a lot of bass between them, and I ended up with 1 sandie, 1 spottie, and 1 halibut.

By the end of the session, I had the hang of it, and am looking forward to rigging my kayak up to be a true fish-catching machine!

Here's a picture of my first fish from my kayak!

I look forward to posting more reports soon!

Welcome. Just wait for the water to warm a little and the bite will be on in Newport.
