Yak yellows at LJ (Thurs)

While she studied for her class, I was hoping to sneak past Julie into 3rd place in the BWE whoppers. So, I went solo launching at 4:30AM. Easy bait at the 1st yellow can.
Hooked up with the first (larger) yellowtail before the half day boats showed up, around 6:30. He was close to 15 lbs. A couple hours later added a firecracker around 6 or 7 lbs. Also landed a 3 lb bonehead and a 6 lb 'cuda. Just about every bait that was soaked got hit. There's action to be had.
Here's a beach photo of the yellows. They may seem smaller than mentioned, but, both were bled and gutted on the water:

No upgrade, no WSB. Just another beautiful day in paradise, minus having the little lady along.

Good job dude, life is good. We had halibut tonight from Ralph's, not sure where it came from or when it was caught. Tastey, but I like the local fresh better.

Nice going Aaron! I am gonna go for a bit of a paddle if I find the right paddling conditions in the morning.

Awesome, Aaron. Cleaned and chilled? on the water = excellent quality sashimi.

Nice Aaron! Nothing like a nice constant supply of fresh yt.
Pretty rough conditions tonight. Very choppy with very few people out. It seemed really fishy with cudas and bass everywhere. None of the right kind that I saw.
